The hotel is in a quiet residential area it has a cafe bar and restaurant, there is also a small supermarket on site. It has free parking. I found it an ideal overnight stop on arrival by ferry. The room I had was clean spacious and the bathroom had been newly fitted out. The staff spoke english and were helpful. There was no night time disturbance. The breakfast was included with a freshly cooked omelette. It is out of town, so most suitable if you have transport.

The room, a superior double, was quite large and comfortable. The bed was huge and also very comfortable. The hotel itself is very well located, looking very good, being very close to Santander and with the S-20 highway right next to it. It also has a supermarket and a bar-restaurant underneath, which were very useful to us. So far everything is perfect.
the bad part is that we had the bad luck to coincide during all those days with some foreign boys and girls who were staying on the same floor as us (the second floor) and who had many of the rooms on that floor rented on those days. These boys, according to what they told us at the hotel, seemed to come every year or every two (I don't remember exactly) from their countries to a sports tournament and they always stayed at the hotel because of an agreement or arrangement they had signed with the hotel. All this was told to us by the lady at the reception desk; kind, by the way.. problem is that these guys (about 18-22) literally "took" the second floor of the hotel: when we arrived in the afternoon to the room with the intention of resting until the next day, we found them literally "lying" in the middle of the hall of the plant, having to get up or remove their feet so that we could go to our room. noises, slamming doors, shouting, laughing, were constant, with many of them leaving the door of their rooms wide open, as if the plant were theirs. Every time we went out and entered the room in the afternoon, same thing happened. noise, slamming of doors, laughter, fact that they were "lying" in the middle of the floor hall only stopped after about 11 o'clock at night, is when they went to bed. was repeated the first four afternoons until the last one (the fifth) when we had to complain at the reception (on the first floor). what was our surprise that when we arrived at the reception we realized that there was perfectly heard all the noise and ruckus that there was in the floor of upstairs (the second one) and, nevertheless, they had not done absolutely anything to solve it.

Chateau Sancibrian offers a spacious, super clean twin room that felt cute. The comfortable beds made for great sleeps after a long travel day. The hotel is in a quiet area. Friendly front desk staff were ready with helpful tips about local attractions. Parking was ample and very secure, a real plus for drivers. We enjoyed the handy amenities like the air conditioning and small fridge, essential for our stay. The breakfast options were disappointing. They didn't provide good value and were kind of basic. I missed having tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The value for money. The staff. The furniture, design and layout. The cleanliness. The comfort.
The food in the bar / cafe, was very poor and not very good value. However, the staff were very polite. I woud not eat here again, although I would certainly return to the hotel in the future and recommend the hotel to my friends. I would just go elsewhere for my breakfast / lunch and dinner.

The hotel is conveniently situated a few kms off exit 2 on the S20 approach road to Santander and the ferry to Portsmouth / Plymouth. There is a cafeteria there with long opening hours, a fairly large supermarket and a petrol station, so the traveller can find everything necessary without having to go into the city centre. I had a cute attic room with a well designed bathroom.
A neighbouring dog barked for most of the evening but thankfully stopped before I went to bed.

Friendly staff made our stay enjoyable.
The location was inconvenient without a car, and it. The room lacked basic amenities like tea and coffee making facilities, disappointing. The breakfast options were overpriced and limited, forcing us to seek better alternatives nearby.

Ideal for overnighting before catching the Santander Ferry to the UK. Typical Spanish hotel with Cafeteria and Restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. Room was excellent and prices reasonable. With more time would have stayed longer and explored Santander and surrounding area.

The hotel was super clean and comfy, parking was really easy, and the staff were all super friendly, especially this girl named beatriz. We also loved that the restaurant had good food at decent prices. The family room we got was really spacious and perfect for us.
but breakfast was kinda pricey and not that great, and there were no coffee making facilities in the room.
